Saturday 2nd October Training Ride 2 Years, 7 Months ago
I won't make it this Saturday as I'm heading up to Inverness over the weekend to support my other half, whose running the Loch Ness marathon. While there, I'm planning on joining Moray Firth CC for Sunday run. Seems I'll have the best of the weather!

Enjoy your usual run. Interest appears to be growing, which is great. However I think newbies need a bit more assistance with bunch riding skills, particulary breaking and spelling. Look whose talking, I've only been in the club just over a year - what is the timeframe for elevation from newbie status? Enjoy the scones!

Enjoy your weekend Marco, Think on the subject of Newbies it may take a while. I mean look how old "The Boy" is .
On the subject of tomorrow as Marco pointed out there is a coffee stop at the end of this ride and £4.50 gets you a coffee and a monster of a scone. When we say training run its training for the sunday run tea stops!!!!!

Also as said before any new riders not sure of bunch riding make yourself known at the meet and you can be paired up with someone to keep you right. On another note some people will remember the crash of last winter and after that some people purchased I.C.E tags or wrist bands (I wear one) that contain emergency contact details. Its a busy road we use and the poor weather is on us,as this is an organised run if anything should happen we should be able to provide this information quickly. Can I suggest everyone provide this in one form or another. I will be there most weeks and am happy to hold this information even if its just wrote on paper and I will carry it every week.

See you all tomorrow 9.30 @ Anniesland.

(Stuart usual place 9.15)

Same here enjoyed the ride today, 12 rolled out from Anniesland again today and a few new faces. Pace was good and it all stayed together apart from up Sinclair St but the quick stop just over the top seems to be a regular stop so we should just re-group there. A bit of through and off from Balloch to Dumbarton again and came back in as a group. 7 stopped for scones and coffee.Looking forward to next week already!!

Really enjoyed Saturday 2nd Training Run. Thanks to all the experienced riders for their advice during the run(which I'm trying hard to put into practice) Good post ride chat too. I might have to miss this week's run due to other committments but will be back for the 16th and then the Braveheart.

Personally, I'm getting a lot out of the Saturday Runs and would recommend them to everyone.

Well, my ride around highlands turned out to be a rather wet one - weather not quite as originally predicted. However, thanks to Moray Firth CC members for a warm welcome and good company on a great 50 mile circuit from Inverness along the Beauly Firth up to Strathpeffer, Cromarty bridge and back in the A9 after taking in some more back roads. Three or four moderate hills kept the heart rate up. Quality of country roads made for a pleasurable ride (and made me not a little envious given the state of some of our local roads). Oh yes, and my wife completed the marathon in 3:57:56 - she was very pleased with her time.

Glad to hear you had another good Saturday ride. Plan to be there next week. Have also entered the Braveheart ride on 23rd.

Cheers,
Marco
