Hi,

I'm a long time lurker on here - joined a while back thinking I'd have time to seek you all out and maybe join you for a few rides - then a baby and work got in the way... maybe next year.

Anyway - I did it on Sunday, and thought I'd pop on and see how you folks got on. My group (the one that was about 4th or 5th to start, and was heavily delayed) had three of you 'Gales at the front, and I was interested to find out how you got on.

Me you ask? Official time was 5:05:18 for the 95 miles. Taking out feed stops and stoppages at traffic lights, actual 95 was 04:52:00.

As I cycled in to the start from Kirky - total ride distance for me was 108.2 miles.

I drove to work on Monday...

It was a good ride - well, until that hill at the 60 mile marker. That sorted a lot of people out I think. Don't think I was much faster than those who walked the hill, but at least I stayed on.

Anyway, hope all of you who did it got on well - and I hope to be a bigger part of this forum in the coming months.
