We take pride in the fact that we are one of the oldest established cycling clubs in Scotland. The Glasgow Nightingale Cycling Club is made up of all ages, both male and female.

The membership is drawn from all parts of Glasgow and surrounding areas. We have a large membership with further ex-members scattered round the world and still in touch with each other using the magic of the internet.

Apart from the social side of the Club, the Glasgow Nightingale is active in both participating in and promoting races. The Club has, for many years, organised two Open events which are, in 2013, the Lake of Menteith APR in March, and the Sam Robinson Memorial Road Race in September. All members are expected to be available to help, and they do.

In addition to these two Open events, the Club organises a programme of Confined Events throughout the year for the benefit of the members.

Wednesday night training runs are a feature of the Club's activities from April to September, on our clubnight, when we meet at Torrance Community Centre, in the village of Torrance at 19.30 hrs. There is usually time for a cup of tea and a chat afterwards. Why not come along and meet us ?

A typical programme of our Confined Events might be the 10 Miles Time Trial in May. at Dumgoyne, the 20 Miles Time Trial in June, also from Dumgoyne, the Hill Test in July, over the Cuilt Brae and the Khyber Pass, the Track Championships in August and finishing the competitive season with the Hill Climb in October on the Cuilt Brae at Blanefield.  Dates and locations vary from year to year.

Why not meet with us?  Check our Home Page for details of how to go about it.
